A musical performance by Gabrielle Ocasio and Ben Tillman

Tickets: $5 each

This event has two up-and-coming musicians who have collaborated together to create original music. Gabrielle Ocasio plays ukulele, guitar, and piano; her personal style is in the genre of indie folk. Ben Tillman has an acoustic country rock style and also plays guitar. They are extremely gifted in music and have the gift to pick up any instrument and play it well. They have played out at events in their communities multiple times and are passionate about the arts and music. Gabrielle improvises on the spot and Ben makes everything fun and lighthearted while playing guitar. The harmonies are uncanny and the melodies will make you sway. You will not regret coming out to see this collaboration and you will never forget what you will hear.

Gabrielle Ocasio
Gabby goes to college at LCCC and if you come around Stocker Arts Center enough you will usually hear her playing and singing by the theatre. She has been singing ever since she could talk and about three years ago picked up the ukulele. She fell in love and leapt head first into music. She picked up the guitar, dabbled on the piano, and found that with her imagination could make songs out of thin air. As she continued with music she found her own unique style in indie folk. She loves playing in front of people and is very excited to perform for this event. She hopes people will relate to her music and find themselves humming her songs even after the performance. She thanks Janet Barlow for giving her this chance, her family for supporting her, and everyone who comes to listen.

Listen to some of Gabby's music:  : If I didn’t Care (cover)  : Spring Original   : Girl (an improvisation)

Ben TillmanBenjamin Tillman
Ben is a Business major at Lorain County Community College. He went to LCCC for high school through the Early College program. About half way through high school he picked up the guitar and fell in love with it and has been playing ever since. He enjoys playing at various places around campus and he finds the environment a peaceful and comfortable place to develop his musical talent. His acoustic indie rock style was inspired through experiences in his life. As an artist he loves sharing his music with others. Through this love, he met a lot of great friends that share his passion and feels that this is one of the best aspects of his life. All of this was made possible by the support of his family. He feels that his life would not be the same without his music.
