LCCC Transfer (Articulation) Agreements
Following are descriptions of transfer opportunities that Lorain County Community College offers with selected four-year colleges and universities. Transfer programs have been established with University Partnership institutions, Ohio public colleges and universities, and private colleges and universities.
State Transfer Module and Guaranteed Transfer
The State of Ohio Transfer Module provides guaranteed transfer and applicability of courses between public Ohio colleges and universities. In addition, LCCC has secured articulation agreements with private and public colleges.
Students intending to transfer to public institutions in Ohio can also find information on course transfer on the statewide Course Applicability System (CAS) at www.transfer.org.
The transfer opportunities described below are intended as a general guideline. Please consult an adviser or counselor for detailed information regarding updated course articulations, curriculum changes, requirements at the transfer institution, and general assistance in making your transfer experience as seamless as possible.

Ohio Public Colleges and Universities
The State of Ohio Transfer Module (see above) guarantees transferability of courses to all public colleges and universities. In addition, the Northern Ohio and Northeast Ohio Public Education Covenant guarantees LCCC students admission to the following Ohio public colleges and Universities:

Cleveland State University
Students graduating from Lorain County Community College who have taken specific coursework as outlined in this agreement can be admitted to the Urban Studies program.
University of Toledo

Business—Lorain County Community College students who graduate with either an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science degree will be admitted to the College of Business Administration with full standing as a junior. Students with an Associate of Applied Business will be admitted and transfer credit will be evaluated on a course-by-course basis. However, any student who has completed the LCCC Transfer Module will be considered to have satisfied the general education requirements at the College of Business Administration at the University of Toledo.

Electronic Engineering Technology—Students completing an Associate of Applied Science degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from Lorain County Community College shall receive credit toward the Bachelor of Engineering Technology degree in Electronics Engineering Technology for specific coursework, possibly in addition to Transfer Module completion.

Manufacturing Engineering Technology—Students completing an Associate of Applied Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from Lorain County Community College shall receive credit toward the Bachelor of Engineering Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology for specific coursework, possibly in addition to Transfer Module completion.
Private and Out-of-State Colleges and Universities
Baldwin-Wallace College:
Students are considered for admission based on their Lorain County Community College record. A minimum of a 2.0 GPA is required for consideration. All LCCC coursework intended for transfer must have earned grades of “C” or better.
DeVry Institute of Technology
Graduates from Lorain County Community College who have completed appropriate Associate of Applied Science degrees will be granted advanced standing in DeVry Bachelor degree programs.
Mount Union College
Students are considered for admission based on their Lorain County Community College record. A minimum of a 2.0 GPA is required for consideration. All LCCC coursework intended for transfer must have earned grades of “C” or better.
David Myers University
Students who complete an Associate of Applied Business or an Associate of Applied Science degree with appropriate coursework as specified in the Articulation Agreement are guaranteed admission to David Myers University. Students also have the option of applying to Myers under a Dual Admission program to help facilitate seamless transfer.
Kettering University
Pending placement with a cooperative employer, Lorain County Community College students are guaranteed transfer to Kettering University provided they have achieved a minimum 3.0 GPA, a minimum 2.5 GPA in science and math courses combined, and a demonstrated ability to maintain a full-time course load.
Oberlin College
Students are considered for admission based on their Lorain County Community College record. A minimum of a 2.0 GPA is required for consideration. All LCCC coursework intended for transfer must have earned grades of “C” or better.
Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine
Students graduating from Lorain County Community College with an Associate of Science degree, and completing specific coursework included in and surpassing requirements for earning an Associate of Science degree, will be allowed admission into the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine to complete the program for the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree without having to earn a Bachelor's Degree. Admission is guaranteed for students who maintain an overall GPA of at least a 3.00, with a science GPA of at least a 3.25 during their program at LCCC; score 18 or higher on the MCAT; and have sound letters of recommendation from a faculty member and a podiatrist.
Ohio Dominican University
Students are considered for admission based on their Lorain County Community College record. A minimum of a 2.0 GPA is required for consideration.
Ohio Northern University
Students with appropriate coursework from Lorain County Community College who have maintained a minimum of a 2.5 GPA will be guaranteed admission into an appropriate engineering program at Ohio Northern University.
Tiffin University
Students graduating from Lorain County Community College with an Associate of Applied Science in Justice Systems/Political Science, an Associate of Arts in Pre-Professional Business, an Associate of Applied Business in Accounting or Business Administration can transfer to Tiffin University having satisfied most of the general education requirements necessary for a Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Criminal Justice Degree.
Tri-State University
Students graduating with an Associate Degree from Lorain County Community College can enter Tri-State University at junior rank, with the assumption that all lower level (general education) work has been completed.
University of Findlay
Students completing certain coursework toward an Associate of Technical Studies degree at Lorain County Community College are able to transfer to the University of Findlay to complete the coursework from the Nuclear Medicine Institute at the University of Findlay.
University of Michigan—Dearborn
Students graduating from Lorain County Community College with an Associate of Science, Associate of Art, Associate of Applied Science, Associate of Individualized Studies, Associate of Technical Studies, or Associate of Applied Business can transfer to the University of Michigan—Dearborn's Bachelor of General Studies program without loss of credit. Students are encouraged to consult the equivalency guide available in Counseling.
University of Phoenix
Students graduating from Lorain County Community College with any Associate Degree will be automatically be granted a block transfer of credit and receive junior standing at the University of Phoenix. LCCC graduates are guaranteed admission to the University of Phoenix provided they meet a few certain other admissions criteria. Dual admission is also available.
