Cross Registration

Cross Registration

For LCCC students who wish to take a class at another institution.

Cross registration is a program of the Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education (NOCHE). NOCHE is a consortium of Northeast Ohio colleges and universities dedicated to developing academic and cultural resources.

Currently enrolled, full-time students in good financial and academic standing at LCCC may take one course per term at any other participating institution. Tuition is free at the host institution, but the student pays any special fees involved (lab, books, parking, etc.). Registration is limited to fall and spring semesters.

Conditions for an LCCC Cross-Registration Student

  1. The student is and must remain in full-time status, in good academic (GPA 2.00) and financial standing at LCCC during the semester of cross registration. Failure to remain in status will result in the student being billed for the cross-registration course.
  2. The course to be taken cannot be offered at LCCC during the semester of cross registration.
  3. A grade of "C" or better must be earned for a course to transfer (if applicable) from the host institution to LCCC.
  4. All course work must be completed at one of the participating NOCHE institutions. See the Cross-Registration application for a list of participants.
  5. The number of credit hours completed at another institution may not exceed the number that may be earned at LCCC in a like period of time.

Interested students must complete a Cross-Registration Application form. If approved, the student will be notified by the Transfer Center and can pick up the appropriate paperwork to register for his/her class at the other college or university.

Further information is available from the Transfer Center at (800) 995-LCCC, Ext. 4074 or direct-dial (440) 366-4074.
