Ohio University Master's Degree Programs

Ohio University

Ohio UniversityMaster of Science in Engineering-Engineering Management

The Russ College of Engineering offers a graduate program of study with an emphasis in Engineering Management.  The degree conferred is a Master of Science in Engineering.  This program is designed for, but not limited to, individuals holding undergraduate degrees in engineering, chemistry, physics, or other technical degrees.

You will develop the appropriate skills for the management of technology-based companies.  The program includes courses emphasizing the skills required of technology managers including coursework in information technology, supply chain management, finance, and statistics.

Typically, two courses will be offered each quarter until completion.  Classes are held on one evening per week and Saturday mornings, utilizing a compressed video system which is a live talk-back system.  The instructors are experienced and understand the needs of those who are working and must occasionally miss class.  Make up work is allowed.

Admission Requirements
Students wishing to pursue studies leading to a graduate degree must apply for admission to the program.  In general, those who wish to enroll for graduate study must have earned a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) from a college or university.

Although there are no restrictions regarding the major area of study pursued in the baccalaureate program, graduates of curricula other than engineering should be prepared for classes that include quantitative material.  Contact Dr. Parks if you have questions about this.
