Personal Training for Your Personal Best

at Lorain County Community College

Lorain County Community College's personal trainers assist individuals in the process of starting and maintaining an exercise program and healthy lifestyle. The trainers design specific programs for a variety of individuals including adults, those with special needs, and professional athletes. Specific goals in a program design could include weight loss, increased stamina, muscular strength, endurance, flexibility, energy, as well as guidance in goal setting and help with motivation.

The certified and degreed personal trainers research each client's needs and assemble tailor-made workout programs specific to their goals. The trainers monitor individual progress throughout each safe and effective program. In some cases, a physician's approval may be required to begin a program.

The LCCC personal trainers have degrees in related areas and are certified by national certifying agencies. These agencies include the American Council on Exercise (ACE), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and National Council of Strength and Fitness (NCSF). Meet our Personal Training Staff

A variety of Personal Training Packages are available.  The basic package of four, one-hour personal training sessions typically includes the following:

  • initial interview
  • fitness assessment
  • two workout sessions

Additional packages are available, and can include a  nutrition couseling session and/or a BOD POD body composition assessment.
