The Office of International Initiatives and Student Services is proud to recognize the accomplishments of this year’s international students and graduates. On May 16, 2015, sixteen international students representing the countries of China, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Philippines, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Uganda, Vietnam and Zambia graduated from Lorain County Community College with one or more associate degrees, and one international student graduated from Hiram College through the University Partnership. Many international students plan to continue their education at four-year universities and several students have been admitted as transfer students to Cleveland State, Indiana University, Kent State University, The Ohio State University, Rutgers University, Santa Monica College, University of Findlay, and the University of Minnesota.

The accomplishments of our international students this year have been many. Several international students achieved academic excellence and received Dean’s List recognition. Especially noteworthy is the demonstration of leadership displayed by our international students as they accepted roles in the Lorain County Community College Student Senate. Our campus is enriched by our international student body as they add their voices to the concerns that affect everyday college life.

We appreciate the unique perspectives our international students provide and we congratulate all of our international students as they continue to pursue their educational goals.
