LCCC Food Service

Great things are happening with Food Service at LCCC.  January 2008 will not only bring in a new year, it will also be the beginning of a new self-operating food service program for the LCCC campus. 

Harold Des Forges has joined the campus community as the Food Service general manager. Des Forges brings master culinary expertise and people-centered managerial proficiency to the Food Service program.  As the Food Service Program Team develops, it expects to bring great food and excellent service to students, faculty, staff, administrators and visitors to College Center, the Stocker Arts Center and the Spitzer Conference Center.

The existing food service provider, Sodexho Campus Services, will soon be completing its contract term and will be leaving the LCCC campus.  Their services for the College Center will be available through the end of day, Friday, December 14. However, their existing catering events (both internal and at Spitzer) will be provided through Saturday, December 22.

In order to transition to its new venture, the cafeteria will be closing operations at the end of the day, Friday, December 14.  During Christmas break, the Food Service Program Team will be cleaning facilities, training staff and preparing for the re-opening on Monday, January 7.  During the week of January 2-4, a limited menu of salads, soup and sandwiches will be available to on-campus staff.  On January 7, the cafeteria will re-open with regular business hours. The Food Service Program Team apologizes for any inconvenience and will keep you updated on future developments.
