Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2016

Join the LCCC Campus Community to serve for Martin Luther King JR Day!

Thursday January 21, 2016
10 a.m.
College Center

We will be packaging as many nutritious and vitamin rich meals as we can (up to 6,000!) which will be donated to LCCC’s own Commodore Cupboard as well as local agencies who serve those in need. In an assembly line fashion, we will add soy protein, macaroni, and cheese packets to pouches which will be weighed and measured, sealed, labeled, and packaged for immediate delivery.

This high-energy event will feature friendly competition, music, food, and a fun way to give back to our own local community. Come help us attack hunger by packaging Mac & Cheese meals.

This event is coordinated by Connect2Complete and Student Life with Disability Services, Project Search, and AmeriCorps.

Support in the form of a grant comes from Iowa Campus Compact through the Corporation for National and Community Service.
