Disaster Simulation

Disaster Simulation

Students from Lorain County Community College’s Allied Health and Nursing Division participated in a multi-disciplinary exercise in multi-level trauma care.   The “simulation” was held in the parking lot of Lorain County Community College’s University Partnership Ridge Campus in North Ridgeville.

Students from Lorain County Community College’s EMS, Paramedic, Critical Care and Mental Health nursing disciplines staffed the event.  “The goal of simulation is to provide real life experiences allowing students to participate in high risk medical care without the risk of harm to a patient,” offered Hope Moon, Dean of Allied Health and Nursing at LCCC.

The simulation also included the North Ridgeville EMS and Fire Departments as well as vehicles supplied by Patton Towing.
