Franc D Ambrosio Master Class

Franc D'Ambrosio's Master Class

Music and theatre lovers at Lorain County Community College enjoyed a lifetime opportunity to learn from and even sing for the man known as “The Iron Man of The Mask.”   Franc D’Ambrosio performed the role of the Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera more than 2,200 times.  D’Ambrosio held the title as the World’s Longest Running Phantom for over a decade.

He came to Lorain County Community College and held a Master’s Class on Stocker Center’s Main Stage.

D’Ambrosio is a world-class teacher and studied with the late, legendary Luciano Pavarotti. His resume also includes an Academy Award nominated film, an Emmy Award nominated television show, a four-time Tony nominated Broadway show, two Grammy considerations, and a National Theatre Award nomination. Francis Ford Coppola cast him as Anthony Corleone, the opera-singing son of Al Pacino and Diane Keaton in the seven-time Academy Award nominated film “Godfather III.”  D’Ambrosio starred in the film and sang the Academy Award winning theme song, “Speak Softly Love (Brucia la Terra).” Franc D'Ambrosio has toured extensively throughout the US, Europe and South America with his critically acclaimed one-man shows.
