Relay for Life

 

Lorain County Community College is assembling a team to participate in the 2011 Relay for Life of Elyria held at Elyria Catholic High School.  LCCC will have a tent at this event and we need a variety of “jobs” filled for it to be a success.  We would love to have 100% participation from our LCCC family.

There are many ways in which you can do your part and we are asking you to choose the “job” that best suits you.

-join the LCCC team as a walker and raise money
-donate raffle items
-donate items to sell.  Examples: case of water, watermelons, etc.
-donate money
-purchase a luminary in honor of a loved one
-volunteer to work at the LCCC tent

What is Relay for Life?  The American Cancer Society Relay for Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost and fight back against the disease.

At Relay for Life, teams of people camp out at a local high school, park or fairground.  Many of them take turns walking or running around a track or path.  Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event.

Because cancer never sleeps, Relay for Life is an overnight event up to 24 hours in length.

Campus Tours

Tours for new and prospective LCCC student will be offered at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays and at 4 p.m. on Thursdays through August 21. This is a great way to become familiar with campus and find classes for the upcoming semester. No registration is necessary. Simply show up at the Student Life desk on the second floor of College Center.

MyTuition Guarantee

LCCC students now have the opportunity to participate in the MyTuition Guarantee. This new program holds tuition and fee rates for students registering in fall 2014 and spring 2015 for up to three years or until the completion of a degree, whichever comes first.
