Short-Term Technical Certificate

The short-term technical certificate for Addiction Counseling has been designed to meet the requirements ffor certification as a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) in Ohio. This certificate meets the forty hours of chemical-dependency-specific education and provides a specialized practicum experience in the field of substance abuse that complements coursework.

The Addiction Counselor Certificate will provide specific education in the following areas:

  • Evaluation

  • Group Counseling

LCCC to Undergo Quality Review

Lorain County Community College is seeking comments from the public about the College in preparation for its periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency.

The College will host a visit March 21-23, 2016, with a team representing the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).  The team will review the institution's ongoing ability to meet HLC’s Criteria for Accreditation.
