Full-time Nursing Faculty
 

Lorain County community College (LCCC) is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position within the Allied Health and Nursing, Health, Physical Education and Recreation division. LCCC is looking for innovative student-centered individuals whose responsibilities include, but are not limited to: teaching courses primarily in the maternal/newborn curriculum but will also need to have some medical/surgical background; teaching lecture, clinical and laboratory components; participating in nursing curriculum development and assessment including program review; advising students and assessing student achievement; participating in college governance; engaging in scholarship and professional growth; and supporting the LCCC mission, vision and values. Incumbent must be willing to work some evenings and travel to outreach programs.

Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in nursing with current clinical and teaching experience in maternal/newborn and/or medical surgical nursing.

Preferred Qualifications: Distance learning experience and certification as a nurse educator is preferred.

Applicants selected for interview will be asked to deliver a short teaching demonstration “Utilizing Evidence Based Practice”.

Starting salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Engineering, Business and Information Technologies

Accounting/Business Administration Instructor

 

Lorain County Community College is seeking to fill a full time tenure track position in Accounting/Business Administration, effective fall 2017. In cooperation with the Division Dean and faculty, candidates must be flexible in terms of course delivery options including: on-campus and distance learning formats as well as scheduled class days including weekdays and weekends. Candidates must be committed to the college mission and student success as well as being able to develop new curriculum, participate in program and course assessment and be a professional addition to a team oriented college environment.

Required Qualifications:
Successful candidates must have a Master’s degree in a business area with a concentration in accounting. (Earned degrees must be from an accredited college or university). Current and relevant work experience is expected. In addition, candidates must have the ability to integrate Learning Management Systems (LMS) into coursework and delivery using available technologies. (Delivery methods may include various modalities such as: Internet and Interactive Video Distance Learning (IVDL)).

Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and/or other globally recognized certifications, in addition to the Master’s degree. Prior college level teaching experience is also preferred.
