Lorain County Community College invites nominations and expressions of interest as the College begins its search for a new President to succeed its current President who is retiring June 30, 2016. The target date for a permanent appointment is Summer 2016.

Lorain County Community College (established 1963) is a comprehensive community college offering over 100 associate degree and certificate programs. Guided by a mission that values understanding and responding to the needs and opportunities of the community it serves, the College is nationally recognized for its innovative programs that foster education, economic, community and cultural growth in the communities it serves.

The President is the chief executive and administrative officer of the college and is responsible for operating the College to fulfill its mission and vision within its officially approved values and beliefs. The President is directly responsible to the District Board of Trustees for all aspects of the operation of the College within the constraints of prevailing law and Board policy and direction. The President is the sole intermediary between the Board of Trustees and the employees and operations of the College. The President is responsible for board relations, institutional leadership, student success and external leadership.

LCCC to Undergo Quality Review

Lorain County Community College is seeking comments from the public about the College in preparation for its periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency.

The College will host a visit March 21-23, 2016, with a team representing the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).  The team will review the institution's ongoing ability to meet HLC’s Criteria for Accreditation.
