Federal Work Study Subsidized Employment

The Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program is a federally subsidized employment program, which provides part-time work opportunities for students. This program provides a valuable opportunity for LCCC students to offset their education costs and help keep their loan indebtedness to a minimum.

The FWS Program also includes employment opportunities with nonprofit organizations. To be eligible, positions should be designed to solve a particular problem related to their needs or improve the quality of life for community residents, particularly low income individuals.

Lorain County Community College’s Federal Work-Study allotment will cover 100% of the student worker’s wages. The attached Community Service Contract  provides more details about role as a FWS employer.

Use Caution in Parking Lots

Workers are replacing the light fixtures on campus roads and parking lots. Some roadways and parking spaces will blocked off during this time. Please be very careful and slow down.

MyTuition Guarantee

LCCC students now have the opportunity to participate in the MyTuition Guarantee. This new program holds tuition and fee rates for students registering in fall 2014, spring 2015, or fall 2015 for up to three years or until the completion of a degree, whichever comes first.
