Name: Justin Wascak
Candidate's Position:
Major:  Journalism  

Biography/Past Achievements:

Justin is working on his Journalism  Program and is currently pursuing his Associates Degree. . 

Justin has had the privilage  to sing the National Anthem at  a Ckeveland Indians game in front of 35, 00 people. He has also DJ'd multiplr events in our commuity.


You know how we all help new students find room numbers?
Even when we don’t know where we’re going either?

We all do it.
That says a lot about us.

Taking ownership in small things like being keeping someone company when they’re lost; together, we make this place awesome.

Name: Holly Torres
Candidate's Position: President
Major: Nursing/Business

Biography/Past Achievments:

Holly has an Associates Degree in Medical Assisting and is currently pursuing a degree in nursing. Holly plans on becoming a Nurse Practitoner and has worked in geriatrics for over 6 years.


 I believe in our campus community and I want to highlight community outreach opportunities at LCCC. I would also like to address teh pothole problem.

Name: Benjamin Colon-Nieves
Candidate's Position: Vice President
Major:  Associates of Arts

Biography/Past Achievements:

Benjamin Colon-Nieves moved from Puerto Rico and  is a former ESL student here at LCCC. He is the current Financial Secretary of the Student Senate. Benjamin is a writer, and  he has published some of his work. He is currently working on his Associate of Arts Degree and plans to earn two bachelor degrees, one in Communication and one in Business.  


As the current Financial Secretary, my earned experience will help me to achieve more for my fellow’s students. Also I want to give continuity to those issues we are currently facing on our campus.

Candidate's Position:

Major: Undecided

Biography/Past Achievments:

Carson is an Early College High School student and the current Outreach representative for Student Senate. She has maintained a 3.7 GPA throughout her college experience and is very dedicated to continuely working hard.


I should be elected because I am friendly and creative. I would be a great voice for the Early College and  PSEO students, as well astraditional college student. I have been on the Senate already so I know a lot about what the role entails.

Name: Mayaya Phiri
Candidate's Position: Event Coordinator
Major:  Nursing


Biography/Past Achievements:

Mayaya is a nursing major student who is planning on earning an Associate of Science Degree; she will be working with the university partnership program through the University of Akron to further earn her Bachelors in nursing as an RN.


I feel that I have the inspiration, motivation and responsibility to represent students from all works of life. Having been on senate for a year I have gained so much experience that has built my confidence in my personal and professional life.

University Partnership Representative:

 Name: Charlene Dellipoala
Candidate's Position: University Partnership Representative
Major: Social Work

Biography/Past Achievements:

Charlene graduated with an Associates of Arts Degree from Lorain County Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree from Youngstown State University in May of 2014. She is currently working towards her Master’s Degree through the University Partnership Program at LCCC. Charlene has also served as a volunteer at the Nord Center on the rape crisis line.


 I beleive my  ecperience and knowledge as a Univeristy Partnership student  will allow me to advocate for the needs of the UP student body.
