Emergency Aid

If you have an unexpected financial emergency and need additional assistance beyond your financial aid award, we strongly encourage and welcome all LCCC students to connect with the Advocacy and Resource Center. By completing the Student Needs Assessment on the ARC website, we can identify the funds and resources that will help you in starting, continuing, or returning to college.

Admission Policy

Lorain County Community College is committed to providing a pathway for all individuals who desire, benefit from, and wish to pursue a college education. LCCC’s open-admission policy provides broad access to college, within the Admission Policy guidelines and with appropriate scores on LCCC’s placement assessment.

If you’ve been out of high school or college for a few years or more and are ready to go back to school, we’re here to help. At LCCC, you can train for a new career or earn a degree or certificate that will advance your earning potential. You may even qualify for college credit for your work and life experience.

College Credit Plus

College Credit Plus

If you’re a high school student interested in earning college credit before you graduate, this is the right option for you. As a College Credit Plus student, you will work closely with you high school guidance counselor and LCCC advisors to find and register for college classes that also count toward your high school credits.

Senior Adult Learner

Senior Adult Learner

LCCC offers free classes to adults 60 and older for personal enrichment. Classes can be selected after the beginning of the semester if space is available.
