I am a part-time advisor, working Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. I have been an academic advisor with LCCC since 2015. I earned a BS in Education from Kent State University, a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Ashland University and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Ashland University. I taught Pre-K for three years at Best Beginnings Preschool in Westlake; taught English, reading, oral communications, drama, and Russian for Amherst Schools for 30 years, at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels; taught undergraduate and graduate courses in education for Ashland University (main campus) for four years. I enjoy working with all students within the human services and social science team, but find my expertise is in education. I have always been motivated by a Russian proverb repeatedly recited by my grandfather: Live a hundred years, learn a hundred years, and you will still die a fool. This proverb encourages me to remain a life-long learner....always striving to increase knowledge and experiences.
