Admissions and Enrollment Checklist
If you are a student who has never applied to LCCC or completed a credit course, the steps below are everything you need to do to apply, enroll, and prepare for classes at LCCC. This process is best for those who have recently graduated from high school.
As part of the application process, you will be asked to select your major. If you are unsure, our Career Services team offers help deciding which career or major is the best fit for you.
Complete the LCCC Application if you have never applied or have never completed an LCCC credit course.
Have an official copy of your high school or GED transcript sent to the LCCC records office. To request GED transcripts, visit: http://www.gedtestingservice.com/testers/gedrequest-a-transcript. If you previously attended any other college or university, transcripts must be requested from each institution.
MyCampus is the online tool for LCCC students to register for classes, access grades and much more.
All official LCCC communications will be sent to you using your LCCC student email account. As part of your MyCampus setup process, you will be asked to activate your LCCC email account.
If you have a disability and require assistance or accommodations, please contact Accessibility Services.
The placement assessment will help your advisor or counselor place you in classes that are appropriate for you.
The new student orientation gives you all of the information you need to get started at LCCC. It is recommended that all new students take the orientation on-campus with a trained instructor.
The College Student Inventory is accessed in MyCampus. This step may be completed as part of the New Student Orientation.
We strongly encourage ALL students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for federal funds. Even if you don’t think that you will be eligible for anything, you should still apply. Many non federal awards require the FAFSA, as well. Apply early for your best chance at receiving awards.
All new students must meet with an advisor or counselor to schedule the first semester’s classes.
Canvas is the online Learning Management System used in most classes, especially online and blended classes.
A campus tour will help you become familiar with LCCC’s campus. This is also a great opportunity to locate all of your classes before the first day of school.
Need help with challenges outside the classroom? Support services are available to help you deal with important issues and to provide greater opportunity for your academic success.
You will need a Student ID for many campus activities. Take a copy of your class schedule to the Circulation Desk on the second floor of the Bass Library. Your first Student ID is free.
Your textbooks and supplies can be purchased in Commodore Books & More in LCCC’s College Center.
Be familiar with how to determine how much you owe and the options for paying your tuition. These options are available in MyCampus.
