DII Sinclair CC Hands Volleyball OCCAC Loss
September 27, 2019 – – In a match that featured multiple lead changes, the Lorain County Community College volleyball team put up a good fight against Division II Sinclair Community College in an OCCAC matchup before losing 25-27, 21-25, and 23-25. The loss drops LCCC to 3-4 in the conference and 11-7 overall.
Kara Sullinger (North Ridgeville) led the team with 12 kills and 14 assists. Brooklyn Hudson (New London) had 12 digs, while teammate Myah McDonald (Avon) added 11.

September 21, 2019 — The Lorain County Community College women’s soccer team picked up their first victory of the season on Saturday, September 21 against Jamestown Community College, winning 5-4.
Sisters Emma and Victoria Horoschak each scored two goals in the win. Mikayla mains scored the go-ahead goal with less than 10 minutes left in the contest.

Volleyball Grabs OCCAC Road Win Over DII Clark State CC
September 21, 2019 – – The Lorain County Community College Women’s Volleyball team came up big on the road against Division II Clark State Community College with a 3-1 win. After dropping the first set 20-25, LCCC pulled together to win the next three by scores of 25-16, 25-20, and 25-16. Several players made their presence felt offensively, led by Ashley Elliot (pictured; LaGrange/Keystone) with 10 kills on a 19-22 performance.
Lorain is now 3-3 in the OCCAC after the victory and stands at 11-6 on the season.
Cross Country Teams Finish 3rd at Cougar Invite
September 22, 2019 – – The Lorain County Community College Commodores competed in the Cougar Invitational Cross Country Meet hosted by Columbus State Community College on Saturday September 21. The men and women ran a combined 5K race, scored separately. Lightning in the area caused the race to be postponed for 45 minutes.
The LCCC men finished third out of five full teams, scoring 72 points. Capital University finished first with 15 points. The LCCC women finished third out of three full teams with 57 points. The Capital women finished first in this race also, scoring 25 points.
LCCC will compete next at the All Ohio Collegiate Cross Country Championship, hosted by Cedarville University on Saturday, September 28, 2019.
