Esports’ Wysocky Sweeps to 7th Win; Coleman’s Perfect Season Ends in Week 8

November 10, 2021 – – The Lorain County Community College Commodore Esports team competed to a 1-1 split on Wednesday with Randy Wysocky (North Ridgeville, Ohio/North Ridgeville HS) earning his seventh win on the season with a dominant 3-0 sweep against Catawba Valley Community College.  Matthew Coleman (Elyria, Ohio/Elyria HS) lost his first match of the season, snapping a 13-round win streak in the process, against Howard Community College. Avery Harssema (Oberlin, Ohio/Oberlin HS) did not compete Wednesday as he had a bye week.

The Commodores improve to 22-9 overall in their inaugural season competing in the NJCAAE.

The Commodores are competing in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on the Nintendo Switch. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a competitive fighting game that features characters from the Nintendo gaming universe.  Players compete in a best-of-five round match.  Each round you have three lives. The first person to lose three lives by falling off the fighting platform loses the round.

The last week for the fall season is Wednesday, November 17 at 6 p.m.  The Commodores will be back live on Twitch as they wrap up the regular season and start the postseason on November 30.
