Haas, Gannon Lead Cross Country at Bill Lennox Invite

October 16, 2019 – – The Lorain County Community College Cross Country teams competed at the Bill Lennox Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock University on Saturday, October 12, 2019. Both LCCC squads finished fourth in the meet with Slippery Rock winning the men’s race, scoring 24 points and Seton Hill taking top honors in the women’s race with 23 points.

Freshman, Henry Haas (Wellington) once again improved his personal best this season, finishing the 8K course in 29:10, while freshman, Charlie Yonts (Oberlin/Firelands) was close behind at 29:21.

Kelsey Gannon a freshman out of Avon High School was the first LCCC women’s finisher, covering the 6K distance in 25:06. Samantha Glass (Sheffield Lake/Brookside) was 33rd with a time of 26:57.

Up next for the Commodores is the Division III NJCAA Region 12 meet at noon, October 26, 2019 in Lansing, Michigan.
