Haas Leads Way for Commodores XC at Slippery Rock

October 12, 2019 – – The Lorain County Community College Cross Country teams competed at the Bill Lennox Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock University on Saturday.

The men finished in fourth place out of four schools (Slippery Rock, Seton Hill, Mercyhurst, LCCC) with 95 points. Slippery Rock won the men’s race with 24 points. Leading the way for the Commodores was Henry Haas (pictured; Wellington), who ran a season best 29:10 for the 8K distance.

The LCCC women also finished in fourth place with 112 points. Seton Hill took the women’s first place trophy, scoring 23 points. Kelsey Gannon (Avon) was the first LCCC finisher, covering the 6K distance in 25:06. LCCC has a week off, then it’s on to the NJCAA Region 12 Meet in Lansing Michigan on October 26.
