JIMMY JOHN’S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK for September 30-October 6, 2019
Kara Sullinger (5’8” Sophomore from North Ridgeville (North Ridgeville HS))
In LCCC’s three conference matches this week, Kara was 66-67 in hitting with 26 kills for a 0.373 kill efficiency. She also led the team with 68 assists and 5 service aces. Kara is a leader on the team with her strong work ethic and outgoing personality that can lighten the mood instantly. Besides earning 4 letters and numerous other awards in volleyball in high school, she also earned 2 letters in track & field, competing in the shot put and discus where she qualified for districts her sophomore year. Her favorites include jet skiing, wake boarding, puzzles, and chicken. Her absolute favorite thing is her dog. Kara loves animals; she even adopted two cats for the day when the team was in Edison this week! She has also swam with manatees when she was in Florida. She loves snow, especially the Minnesota kind while at Nationals last year. She is majoring in nursing at LCCC and plans to pursuit a career in the field. Way to go Kara!
