LCCC Cross Country Team Kicks Off Season at Westmoreland

September 11, 2020 — The Lorain County Community College Commodores kicked off the 2020 cross country season Friday, September 11 at Westmoreland Community College (Pennsylvania). Other schools at the meet included Hagerstown Community College, Harford Community College, Carroll Community College, Pennsylvania Highlands, Point Park, Carlow and Garrett. The NJCAA schools were scored separately from the NAIA schools. The LCCC women finished second to Westmoreland. 2019 All American Kelsey Gannon led the way for LCCC in the 5K race, finishing second among the 14 NJCAA runners with a time of 23:51. Two Commodore men ran in the meet (also a 5K race) – Mackenzie Deibel finished 7th among NJCAA runners with a time of 17:39. Seth Killinger finished 17th out of the 22 NJCAA runners with a time of 21:07 for the 5K race.
The Commodores will race next at Jackson Community College (Michigan) on Saturday September 26.
