Lincicome, Wysocky and Harssema Sweep; LCCC Esports Improves To 17-3 in 2021

October 20, 2021 – – The Lorain County Community College Esports team put another sweep on the board this week, beating all of their opponents in week 5 to improve to 17-3 overall on the year. The LCCC Esports team plays competitive Super Smash Bros. on the Nintendo Switch. Super Smash Bros. is a competitive fighting game that features characters from the Nintendo gaming universe. Players play a best-of-five rounds match, each round you start with three lives, first to lose three lives loses the match.

Gavin Lincicome (LaGrange, Ohio/Keystone HS) swept his opponent from Iowa Central Community College giving him his second win the of the season and his first sweep of the year. Randy Wysocky (North Ridgeville, Ohio/North Ridgeville HS) continued his dominant season with another sweep of his opponent which improves his record to 5-0 (15 straight round victories).  Avery Harssema (Oberlin, Ohio/Oberlin HS) also swept his opponent from Grays Harbor. Matthew Coleman (Elyria, Ohio/Elyria HS) won his week 5 match via forfeit.

“Let the good times roll,” Director of Esports Evan Walker said. “We’ve got a month left until playoffs and our team is as hot as ever.  I’m proud of our guys and confident we can continue this streak.”

Esports will be back on the sticks next week on October 27, 2021 at 6 p.m.  All Esports matches are streamed live on Twitch under the channel CommodoreEsports.
