Men’s Basketball Splits Weekend Games in Chicago
November 17, 2019 – – Five Commodores hit for double-digits as the Lorain County Community College Men’s Basketball Team defeated Harper College 101-95 earlier today in Chicago. LCCC started their road-trip yesterday with a tough 88-77 loss to nationally ranked Rock Valley College.
Jaylen Jenkins (Willoughby/Willoughby South) led the Commodores in scoring in game one, putting up 18 points on Rock Valley. Kevin Miller, Jr. (Elyria) and Kevin Tucker (Cleveland/ James Ford Rhodes) came off the bench chipping in with 13 points each. Jacob Marsh (Elyria) had 11 points, while Jodeci Crite (Lorain) led LCCC in rebounds with eight and had two blocked shots.
Marsh put up 21 points and Miller had 18 to lead the Commodores in their win over Harper College. Miller was 7 for 8 from the field and also led LCCC with four steals. Alex Wyatt (Brunswick) and Tucker each had 13 points and Wynston Johnson (Avon) rounded out the double-digit scoring with 11. Crite pulled in 10 boards and DeMaris Conner (Shaker Heights) added three assists and three steals.
LCCC is now 2-3 on the season and will host Division II Lakeland Community College on Wednesday, November 20, 2019. Tipoff is at 7:30 pm in the Ewing Activity Center.
