Student Athlete Spotlight, Mackenzie Deibel

Each week we will be sharing about a student-athlete that has excelled in the LCCC athletic department, and highlight a portion of their story.

 


Mackenzie Deibel is a runner for Lorain County Community College’s Cross Country team; this 2020 season he was named to the All-Regional Team! Deibel is a Bay Village High graduate, with a full four years of high school Cross Country and Track under his belt. His prior experience showed consistently throughout his first season at LCCC.

We caught up with him this week to see how he’s doing! 

Interesting Fact about Yourself:

I was born in Sarasota, Florida and moved to Ohio when I was 5 years old.

Most Recent Hobby:

Gaming and building Legos. Before COVID I used to like to go to the movies.

Your Biggest Inspiration: 

I am inspired by the competition in races. Every race has action and excitement and pushes me to do better every cross country meet. It is always my goal to PR every race.

Favorite LCCC Sports Moment:

Our final race in Lansing, Michigan. It was perfect racing conditions and I ran my best time of the season. I made All Region that day.

Career Goals:

After graduation, I plan to have a career in Computer Animation.
