Family Contact Information
Family Contact Information- New Home Address, Telephone Numbers or Email Address.
PARENTS/GUARDIANS – Home school districts and Early College High School must maintain current contact information for your family to keep us all connected. If you move, or change any contact references, please share that information with us as soon as possible by contacting your appropriate school district at the number below. Please note that grades 9 and 10 are Open-Enrolled students to Elyria City Schools. At this time, there are some students in grades 11 and 12 who are residents and students of Lorain City Schools. If you are unsure about your child’s home school, please contact ECHS for more information (440-366-7689) and then proceed to contact the appropriate school district as advised.
Elyria High School – 440-284-8300
Lorain High School – 440-830-4500
To validate residency, school districts will require you to visit their administrative offices to submit documentation. Please follow your school district’s directives.
Early College High School has gone digital and we request that you log on to your ECHS Final Forms account to update your family’s information. Early College High School supports all school district requirements. Non-compliance with the school district requests could result in student dismissal from the Early College High School program.
We thank you for valuing and maintaining our connection with your family.
School Closings
All students should check their Canvas and MyCampus accounts to receive any information from professors, instructors, and teachers. ALSO —- this would be a great time to install the remind app on your phones as our principal, Mr. Shane Newark sends out messages using that particular app.
If Lorain County Community College campus is closed, then ECHS is closed. When Elyria City Schools and/or Lorain City Schools close, there is no busing available to ECHS students; therefore, school for freshmen and sophomores is canceled. If LCCC is open, juniors and seniors are expected to report to campus and/or follow LCCC’s directives for classes and cancellations. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to provide transportation for the student to and from school. The Early College office is open except when the LCCC campus is closed. Television Channels 3, 5 and 8 will notify local school closings and LCCC closings as well. Parents and students are urged to use caution regarding the attendance policies when contemplating an absence on an inclement weather day. LCCC uses the Rave Alert app for cellular telephones available from the app store. You may contact Campus Security at 440-366-4053 or check the LCCC website for more information.
All students should check their Canvas and MyCampus accounts to receive any information from professors, instructors, and teachers. Ms. Julie Owca will utilize the Remind app to connect with parents instantaneously.
