Important Information for Division I and Division II Athletes

Lockers
All freshmen and sophomores are assigned a locker for the school year. Combination locks are used and are provided by ECHS. Freshman receive their assigned locker at Freshman Orientation held in August. Sophomores receive their locker assignments on the first day of fall semester.
To ensure that belongings are secured, students are required to lock their locker each time they visit the unit. Students must use the locker registered to their name by the ECHS office. Sharing or switching locks is prohibited. If a student experiences any problems with a locker, please report to the ECHS office immediately for resolution. The replacement cost of a lost or stolen lock is $5.00.
ECHS juniors and seniors may rent an LCCC locker for the cost of $5.00 by visiting LCCC’s Commodore Books and More, located in College Commons (CC Mall) to complete the rental process. Students must present an updated LCCC/ECHS ID at the time of purchase.
Early College High School nor LCCC is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
LCCC/ECHS I.D.
As we welcome the return of all students to campus for 2021-22, photo identification will be required. Incoming freshman will receive their IDs in August on Orientation Day. We encourage any returning sophomores to bring their ID to school with them on the first day of school. Staff will check with sophomores about the status of their ID and ensure those students receive an ID.
Juniors and seniors are encouraged to report to the LCCC Circulation Desk, located on the second floor of Bass Library to obtain or update IDs prior to the start of fall semester in August. ECHS juniors and seniors are to present updated ID at designated textbook distribution times.
All ECHS students are required to possess LCCC/ECHS ID. If an ID is lost or stolen, student should report to the Early College office. The replacement cost of an ID is $5.00.
Busing Information

First Student is the contracted transportation services for Elyria City Schools. New for the 2022-23 school year, Lorain City Schools has an agreement with Auxilio.

Throughout the school year, parents and guardians may use this webpage as an additional resource for information. Students are also encouraged to check the ECHS Office Announcement page in Canvas for the current school year to receive information about busing.
Masks are not required at this time. However, school districts continue to monitor official news regarding COVID-19 and its variants. As the school year progresses, if school boards adopt additional policies regarding COVID-19, you will see a notice here as well as on Early College’s social applications of Facebook, Remind, and Instagram.
All Early College High School students will be granted a one-week grace period starting from August 22 – 29, 2022 to obtain their LCCC/ECHS ID. Incoming ninth graders will receive ID on Orientation Day. Returning students of grades 10, 11, and 12 should possess their LCCC/ECHS IDs from the previous school year. Please contact the ECHS Office if a student has lost or misplaced their ID. It is the responsibility of the student to obtain an ID.
Starting August 29, 2022 all students will be expected to present LCCC/ECHS ID to the bus driver before boarding school transportation. Contracted services reserve the right to disallow a student to board a bus without ID. Additionally, students are expected to comply with all bus rider rules, regulations, and directions provided by the bus driver. These services are a courtesy offered by each school district. Please direct all operational inquiries to the numbers above. Early College High School does not have jurisdiction over these services. Bus discipline matters will be addressed by the ECHS principal and transportation personnel.
