Join us for Improving Your Online Course (IYOC), a Quality Matters workshop to be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, February 7 in LC 209 at Lorain County Community College.
About Quality Matters
The Improving Your Online Course (IYOC) workshop explores the New Quality Matters Higher Education Rubric Workbook, 6th Edition and provides a framework for improving the quality of online and blended courses.
Participants use the QM Rubric Workbook to begin a self-review of their own online or blended course and develop a course improvement plan. The content in this workshop is based on the 23 Essential Specific Review Standards of the QM Rubric. Participants come away with a plan for course improvement, so enrolling in the workshop with a pre-developed online course is required.
This workshop is specifically for faculty who currently have an online or blended course that they are teaching in Fall Semester or are scheduled to teach in an upcoming semester. This is a hands-on session where participants will partner up with one another to provide feedback on each other’s course from a student perspective, and also engage in activities that allow faculty to self-review aspects of their own course. The IYOC may also be appropriate for instructional designers who are helping to revise an existing course.
You must have an existing online or blended course that you are able and approved to revise.
