After nearly a decade of recession and slowed construction growth in Northeast Ohio and across the US, construction jobs are more competitive than ever. Formal training and technical experience are necessary to compete, and learning must continue even after you start a job. Earning an Associate degree in construction management can help you get your foot in the door or help you advance in an existing construction career.

Construction managers are responsible for planning and coordinating construction projects from start to finish. They may work on residential property or more complex commercial or industrial buildings. They need to have a keen attention to detail, understand all facets of the construction process, manage budgets, use complex software and be able to think on their feet. The Construction Management program at LCCC focuses on developing a well-rounded individual with training and experience in all of these areas. It builds on the Construction & Renovation Tradesman Short-Term Certificate and the Residential Building & Renovation One-Year Certificate and prepares you for entry-level work in the field or to continue your education at a four-year institution.
