Lorain County Community College works very hard to identify the needs of our community and then does everything it can to meet those needs.

LCCC is crucial to the rebuilding of Lorain County’s economy and a critical higher education link for Lorain County families.  Today, over 16,000 students attend Lorain County Community College.  In the last ten years, enrollment has grown by 100 percent.  This past May, 1,505 students earned a degree or certificate at LCCC’s annual Commencement and marked the largest graduating class in the history of the college.  Nearly 300,000 members of the community have taken classes at LCCC since it opened in 1963.

Preparing our community for jobs of the future and creating the opportunities for business to develop are important missions of LCCC.  A few examples of that commitment can be seen in the University Partnership programs, Glide – the Great Lakes Innovation and Development Enterprise, the Entrepreneurial Innovation Center, the PSEO and Early College programs, the four learning centers located throughout the county and the everyday commitment to serving each of our local communities with vital educational and developmental needs.
