Staff Council includes all full and part-time professional/technical and support staff employed at Lorain County Community College. The Executive Committee is an organization of elected staff members who work together to create a positive work environment for all full and part-time staff (professional technical and support) that promotes leadership, encourages professional and personal development, and increases staff morale and involvement.
The Staff Council office is located in the College Center, room 218.
Office hours are typically as listed below; however, due to COVID-19 please contact Staff Council Leadership for immediate attention:
Monday – by appointment
Tuesday – 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Wednesday – 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Thursday – 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Friday – by appointment
The Staff Council Executive Committee (SCEC) consists of 21 elected representatives of the staff body. Twelve representatives are elected from within representative groupings, 3 representatives are elected at-large and 6 part-time general representatives are elected to represent part-time Staff Council members. Representatives shall serve for a term of 3 years beginning July 1 following the annual election or immediately after a special election or appointment.
