LCCC promotes healthy lifestyles by offering free use of the HPER Program facilities to LCCC faculty and staff. This includes adjunct faculty and part-time staff. Retirees, spouses, and dependents may also use the facilities.

All faculty and staff are required to complete a participation waiver form each semester prior to accessing any of the facilities. Forms may be obtained at the Welcome Desk outside of the Fitness Center.  There is a 1-2 business day wait for first time users of the facility.

Presentation of an LCCC ID card is required. If a spouse or dependent does not have an ID number, one will be generated 1-2 business days after the waiver has been completed. ID cards are obtained at the Elyria Public Library – North Branch (located in the LC building on campus).

Orientation to the LCCC Fitness Center is strongly encouraged. These orientations are available in individual or group sessions (up to 4 people). To schedule an orientation with one of LCCC’s certified personal trainers, contact Kathryn Orantek at

Faculty and staff also have access to the ActiveLinxx Circuit touch-pad consoles by paying $10 a semester and completing an orientation. Payment can be made at the instructor station in the Fitness Center. Cash (exact change) and check (payable to LCCC) are accepted. Access to the ActiveLinxx Circuit without the touch-pad consoles is available at no charge. The ActiveLinxx Circuit is also utilized by the Lifetime Fitness students and must be used with consideration. To schedule an orientation for the ActiveLinxx Circuit, contact Kathryn Orantek at

Locker rooms and showers are available for use in two locations. Free locker use and showers are located inside of the Fitness Center. These lockers are day use only. Private locker rooms located outside of the Fitness Center are available for rent. The cost is $20 per semester. To rent a locker or make a renewal payment, visit PE 104. Individual locks must be brought by each member. Towels may be obtained at the Welcome Desk.

LCCC faculty, staff, retirees, spouses, and eligible dependents may access the facilities during break hours of normal day operation by having an HPER Program staff member open the facility. All faculty and staff must have another LCCC faculty, staff, retiree, spouse, or eligible dependent accompany them in the facility. No one is permitted access alone during break hours.
