SilverSneakers® Exercise Classes

January 3 – May 28, 2022

All enrolled in any LCCC insurance fitness partnerships are welcome to attend.

Classes are located in room PE 105 in the Health, Physical Education, and Recreation building (location is Fitness Center in google). Call (440) 366-7423 for directions. SilverSneakers® or Prime® members, please bring your card with the QR code (sample QR code below).

SilverSneakers® Stability

  • Mondays (starting January 3)
  • 9 – 9:45 a.m.

Stability helps you get stronger and improve your balance through exercises that strengthen the ankle, knee & hip joints all in a fun & social setting. This class is designed specifically for fall prevention.

 

SilverSneakers® Classic

  • Mondays (starting February 7)
  • 10 – 10:45 a.m.
  • Wednesdays (starting January 19)
  • 8 – 8:45 a.m.

Class is designed to increase strength, range of movement & activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles & a SilverSneakers® ball are offered for resistance.

 

SilverSneakers® EnerChi

  • Fridays (starting January 14)
  • 9 – 9:45 a.m.

Combines principles of the ancient arts of tai chi and qi gong and involves a series of movements performed in a slow focused manner and is accompanied by deep breathing. It is low impact, puts minimal stress on muscles/joints and can help:

  • Decrease stress, anxiety and depression
  • Improve mood
  • Expand aerobic capacity
  • Increase energy and stamina
  • Improve flexibility, balance and agility
  • Prevents falls
  • Develop muscle strength and definition

 

SilverSneakers® Yoga

  • Fridays (starting January 14)
  • 10 -10:45 a.m.

Yoga will move you through seated and standing yoga poses designed to increase flexibility, balance & range of movement. Finish with restorative breathing exercises & final relaxation to promote reduced stress & mental clarity.
