Apprenticeships
LCCC partners with local organizations and employers to provide support and training in a variety of apprenticeship programs. Registered Apprentice Programs require a partnership effort between companies, students and educational providers. The Nord Advanced Technology Center (NATC) housed in LCCC’s Engineering, Business and Information Technologies division is an approved education provider for Registered Apprenticeship Programs.
Health and Wellness Students and Vaccines
LCCC strongly encourages, but does not require, students to receive the COVID-19 vaccination. However, students pursuing health and wellness programs for which clinical experiences will occur in healthcare settings should be aware that vaccination against COVID-19 may be required by local healthcare facilities.
In an environment in which such requirements are still rapidly changing, students should also be aware that clinical site policies are subject to ongoing changes. Please note that in most cases, students in any health and wellness clinical program such as Clinical Lab sciences, Phlebotomy, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Emergency Medical Services, Medical Assisting, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy Assisting, Radiologic Technology, State-Tested Nursing Aid, Sterile Processing, and Surgical Technology are not considered “employees” of area healthcare providers, and therefore may not be covered by hospitals’ exemption request policies.
LCCC, as well as its clinical partners, are not able to change individual student placements without disruption to students’ progress in their program of study.
Health and Wellness students are strongly encouraged to receive vaccination prior to acceptance into their programs in order to fulfill clinical requirements in full. More information about accessing a COVID-19 vaccination site.
Entrance Exams
LCCC is committed to ensuring all students can access resources needed to help with costs. If you need assistance with the cost of HESI or TEAS, please consult with Student Financial Aid. The cost of Health and Wellness entrance exams may be eligible for inclusion in your cost of attendance.
