The Activities Director curriculum is designed to prepare the student for the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP) exam. Lorain County Community College has articulation agreements with colleges and universities including programs offered by LCCC’s University Partnership.

Program Goals

At the completion of the program students will be able to:

  1. Provide basic functions and duties of an activity professional: to design, deliver, and evaluate services for older adults across the continuum of care.
  2. Apply principles of management in their role as activity professional: to provide service through leadership, using principles of planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling.
