Medical assistants perform clinical and clerical tasks that keep the offices of physicians, podiatrists, chiropractors and optometrists running smoothly.

In this program, you’ll get an introduction to the medical field as an assistant to a physician. You’ll learn the basics of procedures used in medical exams, how to use laboratory equipment, medical terminology, and business procedures used in health care facilities. Upon completion of the program, you’ll be eligible to sit for examination through the AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants) to become a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
