Firelands Advanced Placement LPN to RN Pathway
Lorain County Community College (Elyria, Ohio) and Bowling Green State University Firelands College (Huron, Ohio) join in a partnership that brings an Associate’s Degree (RN) Nursing Program to residents of Erie, Ottawa, Huron and Sandusky counties.
Although offered jointly, all nursing courses are held at BGSU FC and are taught by LCCC Nursing Faculty. The clinical component of the program is completed at health care facilities in Bellevue, Huron, Norwalk, Lorain, or Sandusky.
The Advanced Placement LPN-RN pathway is designed for current Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) who aspire to achieve an RN degree.
Students receive advanced placement into clinical courses, an advantage which is earned by the successful completion of an LPN program. Those needing support courses to enter the program may complete these courses at BGSU FC or LCCC.
An appointment should be made with the Nursing Academic Advisor at BGSU FC, for those wishing to get more information.
