Stocker Arts Center

at Lorain County Community College

Box Office Support Staff (part-time)

Responsibilities:  Reporting to the Director, Stocker Arts Center, under the supervision of the Box Office Coordinator, the Box Office Support Staff will exhibit excellent customer service; accurate receipt of payments; balancing cash drawer after shift. The Box Office Support Staff is responsible for ticket sales, answering phones, and assisting students, faculty, staff and patrons.  Must present a positive image with proper dress, friendly attitude, and a professional demeanor; position requires honesty, organization, detail oriented, and precise in work habits. Schedule will vary as needed between days, evenings, and weekends totaling 10-15 hours per week.

Qualifications:  High school graduate or equivalent is required.  Honesty is the first and foremost requirement.  Must have an aptitude for maintaining organized, detailed and precise records and databases, and be excellent with money and money handling.  Must display excellent customer service, effectual communication skills, effective interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.

Minimum Hourly Rate:  $9.82


Social Sciences and Human Services

Part-time Office Assistant

Responsibilities:  Reporting to the Dean of Social Sciences and Human Services, the Staff Assistant will perform multiple office tasks to support the administrative functions of the division.  Typical duties will include but are not limited to: performing receptionist duties; producing documents, etc. for faculty and staff using administrative and office production software; interacting with students as well as multiple offices throughout campus; and assisting with scheduling and other projects as needed.

 

Required Qualifications:  High School graduate or equivalent learning experience; working knowledge of standard office equipment including computer software related to the function of the division; ability to work in a team environment; and perform tasks within established guidelines with minimal to no direct supervision.

 

Preferred Qualifications:  Associate degree and familiarity with PeopleSoft as used in the academic and financial components of the division.

Minimum Hourly Rate:  $10.67

Disability Services

Part-time Sign Language Interpreter

Reporting to the Coordinator of the Office of Disability Services and the Dean of Enrollment, Financial and Career Services, the Sign Language Interpreter is responsible for providing assistance as needed to LCCC’s deaf and hard of hearing students in classrooms, labs, general lectures, and other venues on campus where sign language interpretation may be needed. Typical functions may include but are not limited to the following; providing interpretation and translation assistance for deaf and hard of hearing students in academic classes; assist during meetings; and interpret during tutoring or school-related events.

Required Qualifications: Associate’s degree or higher in Sign Language Interpretation.

Preferred Qualifications: Certification and/or credential preferred. Experience providing interpretation services to adults in an academic setting.

Minimum Hourly Rate: $25.00

Food Service Associate

The Food Services Associate is responsible for the successful management, production and implementation of food service throughout campus. The Food Service Associate works in various capacities within the Food Service system and performs multiple functions as required on a daily basis. 

Required qualifications: High School graduate or equivalent in education and 3-4 years direct experience in food service required. 

Preferred qualifications: Excellent oral communication skills, demonstrated knowledge of food service technology and ability to take and follow directions are preferred. 

Minimum Hourly Rate: $10.48

Food Service Assistant

The Food Services Assistant, is responsible for the implementation of food services in assigned areas throughout campus including Starbucks. Duties include setting up catering stations, operating and cleaning kitchen equipment, prepare food under direction, and additional duties as assigned by supervisor or director.

Required qualifications: High School graduate or equivalent in education and 2-3 years direct experience in food service required.

Preferred qualifications: Excellent oral communication skills, demonstrated knowledge of food service principles and ability to take and follow directions are preferred.

Minimum Hourly Rate: $9.66
