The Office of International Initiatives and Student Services is pleased to assist all new international students with their housing needs.

Lorain County Community College does not have on-campus dormitories, however our furnished housing options make it possible for a new student to be welcomed at Cleveland Hopkins Airport (CLE), and taken directly to a furnished apartment. Lorain County Community College provides a limited number of two-bedroom apartments that can accommodate 2 or 3 students per apartment. All apartments are nicely furnished and all utilities, such as heating, electricity, water, cable TV, WIFI, and laundry facilities are included.

Current pricing for college apartments:

  • Two-bedroom apartment; private bedroom: $3250 per semester
  • Two-bedroom apartment: shared bedroom: $2250 per semester

* College housing is billed on a semester, not a monthly, basis. Students will be required to sign a lease for the academic year if choosing college housing.

LCCC has a limited list of private home owners who are willing to provide housing in their homes for a monthly fee. The cost is similar to that of the LCCC apartments. Shared houses and host-family stays rent for between $400-$500 per month. Most private home options do not offer transportation to the LCCC campus and back, therefore the student will have to purchase a car or make other arrangements since public transportation is very limited.

Conditions of Private Home Option:

  • Provide single bedroom
  • Shared kitchen privileges
  • Utilities included with monthly fee
  • Laundry privileges

Pricing for private home options are determined by the homeowner and often require the student to sign a one year (twelve month) lease. Students interested in this option should contact the Office of International Student Services (OISS) for more detailed information

Housing requests must be received at least thirty (30) days prior to arrival to guarantee housing assistance. Requests for fall semester housing should be received by July 15; requests for spring semester should be received by Dec. 15. Students requesting housing leased through the college must commit to a minimum of a one year lease. For questions about housing, you may also contact the International Student Services Office by phone at (001)-440-366-4069 or e-mail
