Asian Studies

The multidisciplinary Asian Studies program introduces students to the peoples and cultures of Asia in a global context through the study of Asian languages, literature, history, philosophy, and art. Students in the program expand their communication skills and develop their abilities to understand, interpret, and think critically about a variety of human affairs. The certificate sparks the curiosity of students and empowers them to explore the global stage. It also lays an academic foundation for further studies in international affairs, Asian languages, and Asian cultures and provides them with an essential background for careers with globally or multiculturally oriented businesses or organizations.
