Spanish is the second most widely spoken language in the world. Knowing Spanish can broaden your cultural knowledge, make travel easier, and improve your employment prospects.

Earning the one-year certificate in Spanish from LCCC provides documented evidence of your persistence and academic accomplishment. It may also prepare you for further academic work as a Spanish major at a four-year institution. With advanced training and fluency, you may teach Spanish in secondary education, work abroad, or become an interpreter/translator.
