Ohio employers can upskill their workforce at Lorain County Community College and get reimbursed for the cost of training through Ohio’s TechCred program.
LCCC is a state-recognized training provider for Ohio’s TechCred program with training and credentials in Information Technology, Excel and Microsoft Office, Engineering, Manufacturing and Healthcare – with many available online.
Ohio’s TechCred program provides funding for employers to improve the skills of their workforce. Organizations may be reimbursed up to $2,000 per employee once training is completed. The latest round of applications will be accepted by the state beginning April 1. The deadline to apply is April 30.
“TechCred helps local employers stay on the cutting edge of their industry with a well-trained workforce, and it benefits the employees who receive additional training and skills in their area,” said Cindy Kushner, director of LCCC’s Schools and Community Partnerships programs.
LCCC’s Business Growth Services team can help identify the skills that would best improve a company, as well as help navigate the Ohio TechCred application and reimbursement process.
