The Lorain County Community College Library and the Elyria Public Library will present a FRED Talk on “The Art of a Picture Book” from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9 on the first floor of Bass Library.

The University of Findlay’s Museum Director Ben Sapp will explain the uniqueness of the museum’s collection and the importance of picture books to our literacy. The Mazza Museum is the world’s largest collection of original artwork by children’s book illustrators.

FRED talks are modeled after TED talks. TED is a nonprofit that spreads ideas through short talks on important topics and developments. The event is free and open to the public.
