Lorain County Community College’s Workforce Business and Solutions department will host a manufacturing apprenticeship event from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, March 20 in Lorain County Community College’s Spitzer Conference Center in room 117/118.
This event is ideal for employers, operations managers, plant managers, HR managers and anyone else interested in learning more about apprenticeship programs. LCCC’s mobile FAB Lab cart will also be on site.
The free event will include:
•Keynote speaker: Denise Bell of Tooling U
•Information on how a registered apprenticeship program works
• Opportunity to receive a $2,500 stipend per new apprentice
•Breakfast and networking
LCCC partners with local organizations and employers to provide support and training in a variety of apprenticeship programs including automation, CNC machining, tool and die, maintenance, pipefitter and electrical. The Nord Advanced Technology Center (NATC) housed in LCCC’s Engineering, Business and Information Technologies division is an approved education provider for registered apprenticeship programs. LCCC is also an approved state registered apprentice sponsor.
