Lorain County Community College will host “The Power of Apprenticeship” at the LCCC Wellington Center from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, July 19. Attendees from local businesses will learn how a registered apprenticeship program works, hear what employers have to say and find out how their companies can receive a $2,500 stipend per new apprentice.
State registered apprenticeship programs help employers upskill incumbent workers and allow employers to hire unskilled workers and lead them on a journey to become highly skilled workers. This free event is ideal for employers, operations managers, plant managers, human resources managers and any business interested in finding out what an apprenticeship program is. The event includes breakfast and networking.
