Lorain County Community College’s CARE Center and CARE Club will hold a memorial program in honor of national Black Balloon Day at noon on Wednesday, March 6 near the fountain in the college courtyard. The program will honor those whose loved ones have died due to opioid overdose.
Guest speaker Elaine Georgas, executive director of Lorain County ADAS Board, will speak on the opioid crisis in Lorain County and beyond. Attendees will be able to take home black balloons to display outside their homes. Those who have lost a loved one are encouraged to bring a photo.
