LCCC Hosts African-American Read-In
The LCCC Bass Library will host an African-American Read-In in celebration of Black History Month from noon to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14. The event will feature the reading of various works (both poetry and prose) by African-American authors.

· 12:30 p.m. – Karin Hooks
· 1 p.m. – Tanya Gardner
· 1:30 p.m. – Kionna McIntosh
· 2 p.m. – Jonathan Dryden
· 2:30 p.m. – Jewon Woo
The event is open to the public. There will also be a special celebration of Frederick Douglass’s 200th birthday.

LCCC Hosts Black History Month Event
Lorain County Community College will hold a Black History Month event featuring the poetry and performance of Dr. Herbert Woodward Martin, professor emeritus of the University of Dayton, along with James Jones on the keyboard from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 21 in College Commons.
The event is open to all and sponsored by the office of student life in collaboration with the Arts and Humanities division and the Veterans Services office. Light refreshments will be served.
